We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our accounts team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. As a member of our accounts department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial statements.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records through regular reconciliation processes.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial reports summarizing the organization's financial position.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.

Budgeting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  • Monitor and analyze budgetary performance and report variances.

Audit Support:

  • Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting policies and practices.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.

  • Proven experience in accounting or related roles.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
